How Does Bundles Price Sync Work?
Enabling price-sync on bundles based on item prices
The main purpose of Bundles Price Sync is to have the bundle price determined by the item prices. This feature is handy when the prices of products change. If you have synced bundle price and changed pricing on the product in Shopify admin, the bundle price will automatically readjust to reflect the sum of all the items. This option can be enabled on the bundle edit page in Bundle details section.
The bundle total price section will no longer be editable as the total price will now be synced based on the discounted price used per item. These prices will add up to make the bundle price.
Adjusting item price on price-synced bundles
Once the price sync option is enabled, you will be able to define item price per product.
- Using the default product price: When the product price is not overridden and not applied a discount in SImple Bundles, the price adjustments made on this product will be reflected on the bundle price. E.g. If the product price was changed from $29.99 to $34.99 in Shopify, the bundle price will be increased by $5.
- Using the discounted product price: When the product price has a discount applied using the dropdowns in Simple Bundles, the price adjustments made on this product will NOT be reflected on the bundle price. E.g. If the product price was discounted in Simple Bundles to $25.99 and the price was changed from $29.99 to $34.99 in Shopify admin, the bundle price will not be affected.
📝 Note: Since separately-priced item bundles rely on the price of the bundle being equal to those of the items, price sync is automatically enabled on these bundles by default.
