Accessing Simple Bundles in Developer Preview Stores

Users with Developer Preview stores have unlimited access to the Simple Bundles app. This access does not require any additional charges or the need to upgrade your plan.

Difference Between Developer Preview and Development Stores

  • Developer Preview Stores: These are special types of development stores that offer early access to new Shopify features for testing purposes. If you're using a Developer Preview store, you'll enjoy full access to the Simple Bundles app without extra costs.
  • Development Stores: Standard development stores can be transferred to a real Shopify plan. However, these stores do not automatically have access to the Starter paid plans of the Simple Bundles app for free. Each Development store will be evaluated case by case for enabling the free access to the paid Starter plan.
  • Recommendation: For partners who are just testing the app, we recommend using a Developer Preview store.

When creating a store in the partner dashboard, make sure to select "Create a store to test and build" and then select "Developer Preview", which will make the store non-transferrable.

Understanding Developer Previews

  • Features: Developer Previews provide early access to upcoming Shopify features, allowing you to build and test apps against these features before their official release.
  • Limitations: While a store with a Developer Preview enabled includes features available on the Advanced Shopify plan, it cannot be transferred to another owner or transitioned to a paid plan.
