Bundle analytics and reports

To help you get the full picture of how your bundles are performing, you can track analytics through both Simple Bundles and Shopify’s built-in bundle reporting. Each platform offers a unique lens into your bundle sales data, and together, they give you a more complete view of customer behavior and product performance.

Simple Bundles reporting

Your Simple Bundles analytics dashboard provides valuable insights into your bundle performance. Here’s what you can track:

  • Total bundle sales: See the overall revenue generated by your bundles

(Total bundle sales = gross - returns)

  • Number of bundles sold: View the total quantity of bundles sold.
  • Average order value (AOV): Monitor how bundles are impacting your average order value.
  • Top-selling bundles: See which bundles are performing best, ranked by sales volume.

You also have the option to export detailed sales data, including all orders containing bundles.

Discounts and taxes: We're working on adding discounts and taxes to sales data for a more comprehensive analysis.

How to use the export functionality in Simple Bundles

To export your sales and order data from the Analytics Dashboard, go to the Analytics tab. At the top, select your desired date range, then click Apply. Once applied, you'll see an option to enter your preferred email address where the CSV export will be sent. The CSV export will be sent to your chosen email address and will come from notifications@simplebundles.io. Once it arrives, just click the highlighted file link to download it. If you don’t see the email in your inbox, be sure to check your junk or spam folder.

Learn more about Shopify bundle reports

The Bundle total sales over time report shows the number of orders and total sales generated from product bundles across a selected timeframe. This is useful for tracking overall bundle performance trends over time.

The Total sales by bundle report breaks down the total sales and net quantity sold for each individual product bundle. This report is especially helpful for identifying your best-selling bundles over the past 30 days.

The Total sales by bundle component report provides a breakdown of net units sold and total sales for each product that appears within a bundle. For example, if you sold a 3-pack bundle of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel, each of those products will appear as separate rows in this report. It’s useful for understanding which components drive bundle performance.

The Bundle component and product comparison report compares the total sales of individual products when sold as part of a bundle versus when sold separately. Continuing the example above, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel would each appear in the report with two sets of sales data: one from bundles, and one from individual product sales. This comparison helps you evaluate how bundling affects the performance of specific products.
