Why Simple Bundles support may ask for access to your store
Our support team solves most questions without access to your store. We ask for access only when we need to see your setup directly, for example to reproduce a problem on your storefront or to make a theme change you asked for. When we do ask, we tell you why and which permissions we need.
How do I know an access request is really from Simple Bundles?
We send access requests as a Shopify collaborator request from Freshly Commerce (hello@getfreshly.io), the company behind Simple Bundles. We always mention the request in your support conversation first. If a request shows up without a message from us, don't approve it. Reply to your support conversation and ask.
We will never ask for your Shopify password, your login codes, or your payment details.
How do I approve a collaborator request?
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Users.
- Find the pending request from Freshly Commerce.
- Review the permissions listed and approve the request.
You don't need to create a staff account for us.
What does each permission let us do?
| Permission | What we use it for |
|---|---|
| Apps and channels | Open Simple Bundles in your admin to see your bundle settings exactly as you see them. Also covers Shopify Flow if we are setting up a workflow for you. |
| Products | Check bundle products, component products, variants, and inventory. |
| Orders | Check how a bundle order was broken down into its items, or why it was not. |
| Online Store (themes) | Only when you ask for help with how bundles look or behave on your storefront, or for a customization. We need it to inspect or update your theme code. |
| Settings and checkout | Only when a checkout problem may involve your discounts, checkout rules, or another app's checkout function running alongside Simple Bundles. |
| Point of Sale | Only for POS problems. See How merchants can grant access to POS. |
We use access only for the request you contacted us about, and we tell you before we change anything in your store.
How do I remove your access when we're done?
- In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Users.
- Under collaborators, select Freshly Commerce.
- Click Remove collaborator.
You can remove access at any time, including while your support case is open. If we need access again later, we'll send a new request.
Can I limit who can send collaborator requests to my store?
Yes. In Settings > Users, Shopify lets you require a collaborator request code. If you turn this on, share the code with us in your support conversation when we ask for access.
Where can I learn more about how Simple Bundles handles security?
