Adding SKUs sold exclusively through bundles


To add individual product SKUs that are only sold as part of a bundle (and not meant to be visible on your storefront), you have two options:

Option 1: Uncheck "Online Store" from sales channels

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to the product that will be part of your bundle.
  2. Under Sales channels and apps, uncheck Online Store to hide the product.

Following this change, you'll notice that the product is no longer available or searchable on your storefront.

Option 2: Use Shopify’s “Unlisted” product status

If your store has access to Shopify’s new Unlisted status:

  1. Open the product in your Shopify admin.
  2. Under Publishing, change the product status to Unlisted.

Unlisted products are hidden from search and collections, but can still be accessed directly via URL, a useful option for bundle-only items or free gifts.

What happens after purchase?

When a customer orders a bundle containing the hidden or unlisted product:

  • The individual SKUs will still be added to the order.
  • You’ll see them listed in the order details in your Shopify admin, just like normal.
  • Inventory and fulfillment will continue to work as expected.
