How to add a free gift to your bundles using Simple Bundles

Offering a free gift is a great way to increase conversions, boost average order value, and reward customers for purchasing a bundle. With Simple Bundles, you can easily include a free item as part of your bundle setup.

Overview

A free gift can be added to your bundle by including it as a bundle component with a price of $0. Depending on the bundle type you’re using, you can either:

• Automatically include a free gift with every bundle purchase, or
• Allow customers to choose their free gift from a set of options

This guide explains both approaches and helps you decide which setup best fits your needs.

How to include a free gift in a Simple Bundle

1. Open the Simple Bundles app and select your bundle

2. Click Add product and choose the product you’d like to include as the free gift.

3. Click Save to apply the change.

4. Select Adjust item price for the free gift.

5. Set the price of the free gift to $0 and save your changes.

Once completed, the free gift will be automatically added at no cost when this bundle variant is selected by customers.

You can follow the same steps to add a free gift to other bundle variants if needed.

How to include a free gift in an Infinite Options bundle

1. Open the Simple Bundles app and select your Infinite options bundle.

2. Click Add products at the bottom and choose the product you’d like to include as the free gift.

3. Select the variants of the product you’d like to offer as a free gift. This option allows customers to choose which of the available products or variants included in this option group they will receive as their free gift. Click Save to apply the change.

4. Enable Dynamic Pricing to allow you to edit the prices of individual product options included in your bundle. This feature is required when setting product options to $0 for free gifts.

5. Once enabled, click Edit product price and set the price of the free gift product variants to $0.

6. Save your changes and test the bundle on your online store to confirm the free gift is added correctly.

This setup allows customers to select the free gift they would like to receive as part of their bundle. During checkout, the chosen free gift will appear as a line item alongside the rest of the bundle components, making it clear to customers what’s included in their order.
