Creating your first bundle
Welcome to Simple Bundles! 🎉 The steps below will show you how to create your first bundle on Simple Bundles.
Step 1 - Create the parent product in Shopify
- Create a new product in your Shopify admin. This product will serve as the parent bundle in Simple Bundles.
- Add variants to the product if you want to create a mix-and-match or multi-pack bundle. See a few bundle examples here for inspiration.
You don't need to specify the quantity or price, as you can add and adjust them later on Simple Bundles. These changes will be reflected on Shopify as well.
Ensure that Track quantity is enabled on your bundle variant in Shopify. To avoid negative inventory, we also recommend unchecking the "Continue selling when out of stock" option.
Step 2 - Add the parent product to the Simple Bundles app
- Go to the Simple Bundles app > Build bundle.
- Find the product created in Step 1 > click Add.
Step 3 - Add items to your bundle
Now, you can start adding individual SKUs to each of the options.
- Select Add products under the Products section.
- Find each of the individual SKUs you wish to add to your bundle.
- Adjust the quantity of each of the individual SKUs and the price of the bundle.
When a customer orders this bundle, Simple Bundles will automatically update the bundle inventory.
Note: If you're testing the bundle through an order created on Shopify Admin, rather than through your customer-facing store, make sure that you mark your draft order as "Paid" so that the order is created. Once the order is created, Simple Bundles will then add the bundle's contents to the order.
