How to generate images for your bundle using AI in Simple Bundles
Simple Bundles 2.0 now lets you generate product images directly from your bundle contents. This guide explains how the feature works and what to expect based on your bundle setup.
AI image generation is available for:
- Simple Bundles 2.0 merchants
- All bundle types: Simple, Infinite Options (IO), and Build-Your-Own Bundle (BYOB)
How to generate an image within the bundle details
To generate an image for your bundle:
- Go to your bundle edit page in the Simple Bundles app.
- Locate the image section for the bundle (or for a specific variant, if applicable).
- Click the Generate image button (or Regenerate image if one already exists).
- The AI will use the contents of that bundle or variant to create a product image.
Single-variant vs. Multi-variant bundles
How generated images are applied depends on whether your bundle has one or multiple variants.
| Bundle type | What happens |
| Single variant | The generated image automatically replaces the main product image. |
| Multiple variants (e.g. 3-pack, 6-pack) | The generated image is attached to that specific variant only; the main product image is not affected. |
Generating images per variant
If your bundle has multiple variants (for example, a 3-pack and a 6-pack), you can generate a unique image for each one. Simply navigate to a specific variant on the bundle edit page and trigger the generation. The AI will use that variant's contents to create the image.
Previously, variant images were not displayed and showed a placeholder instead. Now each variant can have its own generated image.
Note:
- Generating a new image on a single-variant bundle will overwrite the existing product image.
- On multi-variant bundles, only the selected variant's image is updated.
- Use Regenerate image to replace a previously generated image
